Message for Dr. Groves:
This is probably a ridiculous longshot, but I’m trying to establish the link between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Lilian D Groves (probably born Middleham Yorkshire about 1880), to whom he gave a signed copy of his book “Uncle Bernac” in 1897.
Perhaps your surname is a complete coincidence, but if you can shed any light on this I’d be very grateful.
